I recently purchased DuckTales – Remastered for my Wii U and I have to say, it’s one of the best decisions I’ve ever made! As a huge fan of the classic TV series from the 1980’s, I was thrilled to relive the adventures of Scrooge McDuck and his nephews, Huey & Dewey & Louie. And let me tell you, this game did not disappoint! From fending off enemies like the Beagle Boys and Magica DeSpell to traveling the world in search of treasures, this game truly captures the essence of what made DuckTales so iconic.
But what really sets this game apart is its authentic Disney experience. Not only are some of my favorite characters brought to life by the original voice-over talent from the TV series, but even the stage backgrounds are inspired by classic episodes. It’s like stepping into a cartoon world and I can’t get enough of it!
And let’s not forget about learning to pogo…yes, you read that right. In an all new tutorial level, players can learn basic playing skills including Scrooge McDuck’s iconic pogo jump and cane swing. It may take some practice (and maybe a few laughs), but once you master it, you’ll feel like a true pro!
Oh, and did I mention there’s a museum? That’s right, players can track their achievements and progress on leader boards in Scrooge McDuck’s new Museum. And for those who love counting their riches (like me), there’s even a playable area called Scrooge’s Money Bin where you can track your accumulated wealth and take a swim through your spoils.
